133 Calls for Submissions in March 2022 - Paying markets

This March there are more than ten dozen calls for submissions. All of these are paying markets, and none charge submission fees. As always, every genre, style, and form is wanted, from short stories to poetry to essays.

Underland Arcana. Genre: Short fiction that veers into the numinous, the esoteric, the supernatural, and the weird. "We like these stories to be mildly speculative, fantastic, mysterious, and/or horrific (if you prefer genre tags)." Payment: $0.01 / word—up to 5,000 words—for publication on the website. Pulp Literature. Genre: Any genre or between-genre work of literature, or visual art (black and white for interiors, color for covers) up to 50 pages in length. Short stories, novellas, poetry, comics, illustrations. The Waking. Genre: Fiction and nonfiction, image text/hybrid work. "The Waking is Ruminate Community's online literary magazine that houses high-quality literary writing about what it’s like to be human.
